Portfolio Solutions® is excited to announce that commissions have been eliminated on stock and ETF trades.
Portfolio Solutions® has some great news…TD Ameritrade1 ("TD") and Charles Schwab & Co.2 ("Schwab") are eliminating base commissions for online exchange-listed stocks and ETFs. This is now effective for TD and will apply on Monday, October 7, 2019 for Schwab.
Portfolio Solutions® provides full-service wealth planning delivered by our credentialed advisors, which allows our clients to focus on the many other important areas of their lives. We also construct highly-diversified portfolios under the supervision of our six-person Investment Committee, monitor client portfolios daily, and rebalance as needed to maintain the asset allocation appropriate for each client’s individual circumstances. This initiative from our independent qualified custodians’ helps reduce trading expenses for our clients and allows us to deliver all these services in an even more cost-effective manner.
We'll continue to support the peace of mind of our clients by collaborating with our partners such as Schwab, TD and others to put client interests first. In fact, we're currently working with our online PS Portal provider, Black Diamond, to further integrate data from TD and Schwab. This provides our clients with convenient access to more investment information and even on mobile devices.
"We’re focused on deepening relationships with the strategic partners we work with to provide greater benefits to our clients" stated James S. Gladney, Chairman and CEO of Portfolio Solutions®. "Like the index investing philosophy we deliver, and that those of us at Portfolio Solutions® personally ascribe to, we feel the philosophy of deepening working relationships with service providers has served our clients well over the years. Leveraging these relationships, in a collaborative manner, helps us to bring increasing value to our clients and reduce their costs. Being affiliated with our $1.4 billion AUM3 firm, currently serving more than 600 clients4, helps our clients access these benefits and others which they would not likely be able to achieve on their own" said Mr. Gladney.
